Who we are

The AIA Technology in Architectural Practice Knowledge Community (TAP) serves as a resource for AIA members, the profession, and the public in the deployment of computer technology in the practice of architecture. TAP leaders monitor the development of computer technology and its impact on architecture practice and the entire building life cycle, including design, construction, facility management, and retirement or reuse.

The Architect's Newspaper is producing a conference focusing on facades in NYC April 21st & 22nd. The Symposium features keynotes Odil Decq and Thomas Pfifer. Panels include Emerging Craftsmanship in Digital Fabrication and one on Hudson Yards. Workshops are day-long intensives, taught by experts from Zahner, Thornton Tomasetti, Dassault, Arup, KPF, Flux and others.

We are a TAP sponsor and do offer up to 16 AIA HSW CEUs for the two days. I realize that you are a non-commercial entity, but we think there are many valuable learning opportunities for your membership here. You may find more info. at facadesplus.com. We would be most appreciative if you could share this with your members.

    Kind regards - Susan Kramer
