Are any of you guys doing the IPD type of delivery method or have you participated in this?

I attended some excellent AIA seminars on this topic a few years ago.  One thing I came away with was that any design professional that considered being involved in this approach had better do their homework, understand the contract structure and how it works, and understand the pitfalls in the event one of the participants does not fully participate in good faith.  If you are serious about doing this on a project of any size or significance, I recommend you find a consultant that can assist you with the process, rewards/punishment structure, and can clearly define the responsibilities of all parties involved.

We are doing an IPD type process for some of our projects.  Having originally gotten my experience at another firm in the public design-bid-build arena, it was initially mind blowing, I admit.  It really comes down to how good and communicative your team is (as in, not just the architecture team, but the full IPD team).
