    Hi Ronald,

Revit LT is a trimmed down version of Revit. Some functionality- Massing, Workgroups, Beam Systems local rendering and others are removed. This isn't a complete list so please go to http://usa.autodesk.com/revitlt/ to see details.

Basically Revit LT is intended for smaller architectural firms that don't need to interactivelyshare the model (Workgroups) but want Revit BIM @ a lower price point. If you're on subscription you can use the Cloud
Rendering feature that's faster than local rendering.

If you buy the Suite I believe you get AutoCAD LT in addition to Revit LT. Revit LT makes a Revit file so compatibility with Revit is not a problem.

Please let me know if I can help you further,

    Dennis

So, all you are giving up is workgroups and local rendering?

    Dennis,

By saying that REVIT LT is meant for firms "that don't need to interactively share the model (Workgroups)" do you mean that no more than one person can work on a REVIT LT model at one time?  I am not sure how valuable the product is if that is the case.
