Pomodoro Technique

A couple weeks ago I came across the Pomodoro Technique which comes from programming but basically chunks concentration time into short periods (25 minutes) with quick breaks (3 to 5 minutes).  And there is a structure of scheduling, etc around it.

I finally got my hands on Staffan Noteberg's book Pomodoro Technique Illustrated, and have been trying to implement it this week.  It looks pretty promising, but its fresh and new...and things are not in full deadline insanity either.

I thought I'd float the question and see if anyone has played around with any of these systems (gimmicks?) and had luck with them.

    Cheers!

I have been using it for awhile. I have a pomodoro app on my phone.
