  • 1.  REC Member survey

    Posted 04-26-2012 02:22 PM
We have just completed the 2012 REC Member survey, and I wanted to thank everyone who participated for their time and thoughtful responses.  There was some excellent input provided, and the Advisory Group discussed the results in some detail at this weeks conference call.  We will be using the data collected over the next year to help guide the work of the AG as well as both the Program and Design Awards Committees.

Some of the interesting highlights from the survey included strong interest in education, networking and conferences from members.  I expect that means you all will be at Convention this year, and attending the REC reception Friday evening at Redwood in Bethesda Row!

There was also interest in Design Ideas, which will reflect itself in the Design Awards committee discussions about how we can use those submissions as inspiration and case study data for our members.  Members we very evenly split on REC and advocacy -  we're not sure what to do with that yet, so voice your opinion here if you have a thought!

There were also a number of innovative retail examples identified, and I'll try to post that in a separate discussion and get more feedback there.

In all, a lot of good ideas and your efforts will be helpful in guiding our efforts through the rest of the year.
