Join the Regional and Urban Design Community of the American Institute of Architects and the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida for ACTIVE CITY, a multidisciplinary exchange of ideas on how the intersection of health and urban design is shaping communities.  Attended by designers, planners, business leaders and health professionals from around the country seeking to expand their knowledge about the impact of the built environment on health and wellness. ACTIVE CITY is an immersive 2-day conference packed with case study presentations, keynotes by leading experts, guest speakers, networking opportunities and more!  Attend tours of the historic Ybor and the Riverwalk by streetcar, bike share, or foot and see first-hand how Tampa’s downtown is being transformed with the first certified WELL District. Then stick around for the 113th annual Gasparilla, Tampa's biggest party on Saturday, January 28th featuring a live pirate invasion, music, food, and fun on the bay shore.

     Themes

Active City draws professionals from the top architecture, engineering, and planning firms with experts from the public health and medical sector, all seeking to push the limits of designing healthy places.
