Robert Ooley, FAIA, is an award-winning public-sector architect and currently the County Architect for Santa Barbara, California. He is among a team of professionals who care for the historic County Courthouse and was responsible for getting the property designated a State and National Historic Landmark. Robert is a fellow of the American Institute of Architects and serves on the California Board of the AIA as Vice President of Government Relations. He also serves on the Santa Barbara City Historic Landmarks Commission. His interest in the “backstory” of the many architects whom have designed buildings in Santa Barbara is what fuels his passion to share these stories with the community.
