As public private partnerships drive an increasing amount of public sector development, the relationship between design professionals and public project managers has changed dramatically. This session will explore the various roles, responsibilities, and considerations involved in P3 development.

Upon completion, you'll be better equipped to:

  • Identify and evaluate the main types of public and private financing
  • Understand the current direction of P3 development in financial, regulatory, political, and design contexts
  • Describe the pros and cons of P3 development for diverse building types
  • Establish criteria for evaluating partnerships and defining the role of design professionals
  • Help influence P3 decision-making to create the highest-quality public realm
