  • 1.  Fit for change happening now? The Fourth National Climate Assessment Vol. II, is released

    Posted 11-26-2018 10:14 AM

    Greetings All ,
Impacts, Risks and Adaptation in the United States:
The Fourth National Climate Assessment Vol. II, was released on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 by the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP).

On the same day, experts discussed the key findings of the Fourth National Climate Assessment Vol. II. The report is an authoritative assessment of the impacts of climate change on the U.S. and its territories, and was written to help decision-makers, utility and resource managers, public health officials, emergency planners, and other stakeholders better understand the effects of climate change on the United States. USGCRP will also release the Second State of the Carbon Cycle Report (SOCCR2).

Many chapters directly relate to architecture and other technical disciplines of the built environment.

This new report, also called NCA4, builds on the 2017 Climate Science Special Report (CSSR), Volume I of the Fourth National Climate Assessment, which described observed trends in the global and U.S. climate, and projections for temperature, precipitation, sea-level rise, and Arctic sea ice for the remainder of this century. CSSR served as the scientific foundation for the NCA4, Vol. II that will be released.
