Bio

I am a firm believer in a broad-based design background, as well as the application of innovation, technology and sustainable design in a socio-cultural context. Without these three crucial elements, good design cannot happen, anywhere in the world. A good designer and a good architect will be a good listener, be empathetic, and be thoughtful and considerate, not only to our environment, but also to the people who will use the buildings we design as shelter, work and home.

My goal is to practice architecture by really getting to know not only the community around me, but also by continuing to learn about other socio-cultural contexts around the world, as international work becomes a staple in American architecture practice. I believe that my overseas experience, particularly in Asia, can not only contribute to design and potential future work overseas, but also contribute to community design at home, where I plan to establish my network of friends and family for years to come.

I have been an active member of the American Institute of Architects since 2003, during which time I attended the vast majority of National Conventions, local chapter conferences and seminars, and regional conferences. The AIA is an important part of my career as an architect, and I will continue to pursue leadership, networking, and educational skills, as well as promote advocacy issues at the local, regional, and national levels.
