Bio

Brian Szymanik, AIA LEED AP (BD+C) is an architect and educator based in Philadelphia, PA. A graduate of the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania and the Tyler School of Art at Temple University, Brian Szymanik directs a small practice that concerns itself equally with theory, practice, civic engagement, and the art of building. Brian has successfully designed projects at both small and large scales, from mid-rise apartment buildings to higher education athletic facilities to small urban residential renovations and additions. In all of his work, Brian seeks to exploit his broad experience and his innovative spirit to offer exceptional solutions to meet his clients’ needs while exceeding their expectations.

Brian currently serves on the faculties of both the Tyler School of Art at Temple University and the College of Architecture and the Built Environment at Philadelphia University. Brian is currently serving as a consultant to the AIA assisting the Institute in its preparations for the 2013 NAAB Accreditation Review Conference (ARC).
