Principal of Synecdoche (pronounced si-nek-duh-kee) a design/make architecture studio exploring material constructions, their narratives, and the resulting environments they create. As a small practice we work in a fast and nimble environment as an effective production technique. My belief is that tangibles and experience are simultaneous design problems. I work to imagine design office models that works for personalities, cultures, business, lifestyle and play.
Lisa launched Synecdoche with her partner, Adam Smith, in 2009 while graduating from LTU. Throughout grad school, teaching, and working with other designers, Synecdoche tooled up. In 2015 Synecdoche found roots north of Downtown Ann Arbor and has a growing team of designers and makers.
