  • 1.  Project Management Software

We are doing a bit of an overall and looking for project management software that would allow us to combine our two independent systems into a single application.  We are currently using ArchiOffice and quickbooks to manage our projects and design manager to handle our procurement.  It can be burdensome with the two different systems, and I cannot say we fully use either.  Does anyone have suggestions for other applications that might do a decent job at both?  Thank you in advance.

We have the same software, though we are just about to start up with Design Manager.  For Archi-office we have coordinated with them directly (and paid a fee) to have custom reports made - this was very helpful. I'm curious to hear if you get any good info on this post.  And do you like Design Manager?  We've heard good things but if you think <g class="gr_ gr_291 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="291" data-gr-id="291">it's overlap</g> to Archioffice I'm not too excited about that.

We have used Design Manager for 18 years and it has been great for our interior design practice.  It is easy to learn and we like it because it is available from home, office or being on the road. We have five designers, an assistant designer and two bookkeepers that all seem to enjoy the software and they have customized things over the years we needed.  But the latest update seems to have all the reports that we originally needed that were not part of the software. Nice with the photo portion for clients to track which item is on which Proposal or Invoice.  I haven't seen any software that is so intuitive to learn and we have had two designers that recently joined our practice and she had used the same software at her last firm.

Karin & all thank you for the comments,

We do like design manager we were just hoping there was a single system that could serve the function of both.  I have not found one.  There is some overlap but it can be minimized if you totally separate procurement and design finances, invoicing, etc.
