The 22nd International Preservation Trades Workshop (IPTW) is being hosted by the National Park Service's Historic Preservation Training Center in Frederick Maryland, Oct 25-26. This is the largest gathering of preservation craftspeople in the country. Demonstrators who's focus is preserving historic structures will share their tips and best practices in many fields including blacksmithing, slate roofing, masonry preservation, window restoration, and many others. There are pre-workshops that offer deeper dives on cemetery preservation and window restoration. This is a great opportunity to improve your specs and meet people who can do the work.
