Who we are

The mission of the Historic Resources Committee (HRC) is to identify, understand, and preserve architectural heritage, both nationally and internationally. HRC is engaged in promoting the role of the historic architect within the profession through the development of information and knowledge among members, allied professional organizations, and the public.

    The Heritage Documentation Programs (Historic American Buildings Survey / Historic American Engineering Record / Historic American Landscapes Survey) division of the National Park Service is currently accepting applications from qualified students in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, and architectural history for summer employment documenting historic sites and structures of architectural, landscape, and technological significance throughout the country.  Duties involve on-site field work and the preparation of historical reports or measured and interpretive drawings for the HABS/HAER/HALS Collection at the Library of Congress.  Project duration is twelve weeks, beginning in late May or early June.

    The application deadline is Friday 10 March.
