Who we are

The mission of the Historic Resources Committee (HRC) is to identify, understand, and preserve architectural heritage, both nationally and internationally. HRC is engaged in promoting the role of the historic architect within the profession through the development of information and knowledge among members, allied professional organizations, and the public.

    Please Join Us for the US/ICOMOS Soiree to Protect United States World Heritage Sites and Natural Monuments

    An opportunity to help while continuing to learn and enjoying live arts with your colleagues! If you are attending the National Trust Conference in San Francisco, or the US/ICOMOS Symposium, or are in the Bay Area, this is worth the commute!

    U.S. SENATOR MARIA CANTWELL, Washington State, will speak at the event. Senator Cantwell is the Ranking Member of the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, and sits on the Subcommittee on National Parks and the Subcommittee on Public Lands, Forests and Mining.

    PROCLAMATIONS by State Governors and joint signing of declarations.

    TWO PANEL DISCUSSIONS:

    JON JARVIS, Executive Director of the Berkeley Institute for Parks, People and Biodiversity, and 18th Director of the National Park Service, will moderate an expert panel the protection of monuments and heritage sites.

    RAY ASHLEY, President/CEO of the Maritime Museum of San Diego, will moderate an expert panel on the protection of marine monuments.

    FUN remains on the program: live music, dance, and painting, accompanied by wine and hors d'oeuvres.

    AUCTION: items include a sailing trip with maritime experts and curated tours of monuments and heritage sites, some including meals and lodging.

    Tickets are affordable; the event expenses are underwritten so all contributions go to the cause and are tax deductible.
