Speakers will explore the challenges to achieving principled just development of affordable and mixed-income housing, at the scale necessary to accommodate increasing populations of cities, aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Topics will include: context analysis, measuring density, and frameworks for development that includes diverse demographics in increasing urban populations. Comparing the work from throughout the world, we will explore the impact of local and regional differences in culture, climate and context on structuring and implementing just development. Participants will dissect density, sustainability, resilience and social inclusion in best practices.
