LEVERAGING THE POTENTIAL OF PREFAB IN HEALTHCARE DESIGN

Prefabrication in its many forms is helping to advance healthcare design and construction across the country, instilling innovation and improving efficiency, safety and sustainability. Join us to learn about a range of applications at leading national healthcare institutions where the amount of prefab can be as high as 50 percent. We'll learn from six professionals ranging from CM's to clients, designers to vendors, as well as Lean experts. First, we'll hear brief case studies of particular projects spanning the range of different manufactured construction applications. Then our presenters will form a panel to explore the potential for this technology to advance healthcare design, looking hard at what is getting in the way of its widespread use (especially in the northeast). Panelists will be:

Nick Masci, Practice Leader of Lean for Construction at Haley and Aldrich in Boston(moderator)

Charlie Dunn, Project Storyteller at DPR in NC

Denton Wilson , VP of Planning & Design, Atrium Health

Ryan Hullinger, Healthcare Practice Leader at NBBJ in Columbus OH

Keith Swenson, President of Operations at Modular Design+ in Texas

Chris Burke, National Healthcare Specialist with DIRTT Environmental Solutions in Philadelphia
