2019 CAE Conference Scholarship
The AIA Committee on Architecture for Education will sponsor two emerging professionals or educators to attend their conference, held May 1-4 in Los Angeles. The four-day conference will include engaging panel discussions, exclusive tours, and intimate networking opportunities with educational facility architects, allied professionals, educators students.
Eligibility
AIA Emerging Professionals (licensed less than 10 years), Associate AIA members, AIAS members, full-time faculty and full-time students (with valid ID) are invited to submit an application.
Expectations
In exchange for financial support to attend the conference, scholarship recipients will compose pre- and post-conference blog entries to AIA CAE website. Scholarship recipients will work directly with a conference planning committee member to select topics and share content. During the conference, recipients will post images and text on the AIA CAE website’s discussion forum and blog, Twitter, and Facebook to share discussions of interest and spark conversations.
It is the intent of this program to engage young professionals and educators in a national conference venue. It is our intent that each scholarship recipient identifies a project type they are interested in and will actively participate as a volunteer for a minimum of one year on one of the CAE subcommittees. Participation a subcommittee will not require additional travel.
Application Deadline and Submission Requirements

- 200-word essay of interest
- 200-word biography and current resume
- one letter of support from your firm or school
Applications are due on – April 1, 2019.
Recipient Expenses
- conference registration will be waived for scholarship recipients
- CAE will provide round-trip domestic economy airfare
- 3 nights hotel accommodations
