The Architect’s Role in Creating Equitable Communities
This session will explore how architects can drive equitable places through firm culture and within projects. Dig into the targeted ways in which, by using their agency and power, architects can work to mitigate inequities and discrimination and advocate for a future with just and equitable communities. Attendees will use interactive, scenario-based activities to engage in dialogue, test tools, and develop approaches to take back to practice. This session will build on the AIA resource The Architect’s Role in Creating Equitable Communities and connect practitioners to the content in an energizing and actionable way.
