There has been much discussion regarding the role of architects in the planning and design of justice facilities, especially related to facilities that incarcerate individuals. I’ll lead a discussion with client representatives and members of the consulting team regarding work in planning new justice facilities for Cuyahoga County, and discuss if architecture can go beyond design and influence systemic change. Please join to get an owner and user perspective on planning justice facilities for the future with consideration of reducing our reliance on incarceration.
