In Texas, House Bill 3, passed 119-25 and now heads to the Senate. This legislation calls for significant investments to "beef up schools' safety", including hiring an armed security officer for each school, providing incentives for school employees to get certified to carry a weapon, and installing silent panic alert buttons in every classroom.
