Who we are

The mission of the Historic Resources Committee (HRC) is to identify, understand, and preserve architectural heritage, both nationally and internationally. HRC is engaged in promoting the role of the historic architect within the profession through the development of information and knowledge among members, allied professional organizations, and the public.

As President of AIA Miami and a member of AIA Florida's Resilience and Adaptation Committees, she's a champion for sustainability. Co-founder of HKS Resilience Studio and author of Resilience Design Toolkits, Amanda's impact is profound. 
     
    Sammy Shams, a leading Sustainable Design Professional at HKS, is a sought-after speaker renowned for expertise in sustainability, building performance, and resilience as a co-founder of HKS's Resilience Studio. As a member of the AIA Resilience & Adaptation Advisory Group, his influence on resilience
     architecture is noteworthy.
