Bio

Larry Paschall, AIA, is chief executive officer of Spotted Dog Architecture, specializing in residential architecture with a focus on home additions and renovations. In addition to being an architect, entrepreneur, and noted speaker, Mr. Paschall is a fervent advocate for his industry and the communities in which he both lives and serves and is currently pursuing advocacy opportunities within the architecture and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) communities.

Mr. Paschall currently serves on the advisory group for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Practice Management Knowledge Community. He is also past chair of the North Texas LGBT Chamber of Commerce and of the Chamber Foundation. His firm is a certified LGBT Business Enterprise with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

A respected and inspirational speaker, Mr. Paschall has shared his experience and respective industry acumen at state and regional conferences for the American Institute of Architects (AIA), speaking on such topics as alternative marketing for architecture; architects as industry advocates; and enhancing leadership and community awareness.

In addition to his design and advocacy activities, Mr. Paschall is co-host of the audio podcast The Architecture Geeks, an informal discussion about architecture for design professionals, clients, and architecture students available on iTunes. He is also the author of The Big Gay Architect blog.
