Who we are

The Construction Contract Administration Knowledge Community (CCA) has been established to help our members better understand the issues, actions and resultant impact of the decisions required in this often neglected part of Project Delivery. It is our goal to provide clear answers to issues of concern to the Institute’s membership and share case studies and best practices. We further hope to provide guidance and direction in developing guidelines for new and evolving approaches to Project Delivery as well as guidance in the continuing education of our emerging young professionals.

AIA Codes Network – Architecture 2030 ZERO Code
    Jan 24, 2019 at 2:30 PM EST.
    Earn 1.5 AIA HSW LUs

We are currently undergoing the largest wave of urban growth in human history. By 2060, the world is projected to add 2.5 trillion sq ft of buildings, or an area equal to the entire current global building stock. This is the equivalent of adding an entire New York City to the planet every 34 days for the next 40 years. Improvements in building energy efficiency and growth in renewable energy generating capacity have not been nearly enough to offset the increase in emissions from new construction.

This seminar explains the details of the Architecture 2030 ZERO Code (https://zero-code.org) – a zero net carbon building standard – and how to use it. The ZERO Code requires a minimum level of energy efficiency based on Standard 90.1-2016 and then requires the installation on-site renewable energy or procurement of off-site renewable energy in an amount needed to achieve zero net carbon. The ZERO Code is supported by a website where the code and supporting documents can be downloaded along with an energy calculator that can be used to estimate building energy use and evaluate the potential for on-site photovoltaic systems.
