I agree wholeheartedly with Klaus Steinke's comments re: the proper range of subject matter for this discussion group.  My posts regarding Griffin's credentials were a response to what I consider an inappropriate and misleading use of the e-space, specifically, to spread propaganda.  It is equally true that our "group's" area of expertise is not banking, which is why my posts were terse.

Certainly we are all acutely aware that our practices and incomes are affected by the economic climate, and there is ample and very public evidence that shenanigans and poor judgement among mortgage bankers and Wall Street set the stage for the most recent disaster.  We are not out of the woods yet, but if we wish to have any affect on the regulatory environment that might prevent a future financial meltdown and resulting taxpayer bailout, we should direct our comments to our legislators rather than spreading more confusion per what is intended to be a professional "KnowledgeNet".

By the way, Klaus, I graduated from old Las Vegas High (Seventh and Bircher) many years ago.  Vegas' population was about 55,000 then, and local architects were scarce.  How times change.
