Use alternative eco materials such as CLT or AAC

  • 1.  Use alternative eco materials such as CLT or AAC

    Hi gang,

I have a new client who has requested to use either CLT (cross-laminated timber) or AAC (autoclaved aerated concrete) materials as feasible.  This will be a 2-story addition to a traditionally wood-framed and siding home.  I have never worked with these materials but they are very interesting.  Does anyone have any experience with them that they can share?  I would appreciate any input or good sources for detailing etc?

    The project is in Maryland.
