For the sixth week in a row, the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health's Research Initiatives Committee has just downloaded another new "bench-marking" case study.   This 2017 AIA/AAH Healthcare Design Award winning project is the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Suite located in Parkridge, Illinois by Phillips Design and Anderson Mikos Architects.  This project is interesting for its creative and elegant approach to adaptive reuse as well as the innovative client-focused planning process that aligned the project scope with market strategy, streamlined workflow and improved departmental layout while implementing a clear vision for the new Cardiac Cath & EP Department.  We have added the introductory 2-page spread to peak your interest.  Go to the Library to see the rest of this Case Study.

The American Institute of Architects recognized the project as one of the best in the nation, awarding it a 2017 AIA/AAH Healthcare Design Award.

We now have thirty-five (35) Case Studies of the 2013 through 2018 Award Winning Projects in the Library.  We have drafted several more of the 2018 and 2019 Award Winning projects Case Studies and several of those will be submitted over the next few weeks.

Go to aia.org/aah and click on Case Studies Quick Link on the left of the page to access the Case Study Library or aia.org/aahcasestudies

    Respectfully Yours,
