  • 1.  Documentation and Increase in Virtual Meetings

With the dramatic increase in the use of virtual meetings during programming, design and construction, do firms need to create practice policy associated with documentation of project meetings?  How is your firm addressing this?

We've been using zoom for years now because of our international and out of state clients. It's fundamentally the same as any in-person meeting. Keep solid meeting notes and distribute via email. We'll also include screen shots of decisions if it involved marking up or changing a drawing. The final tool is to record and save the entire meeting. Just be sure to tell everyone the "call is being recorded for quality assurance and training purposes." Ha!
