As I approach the end of my first year of serving on the TAP Leadership Group, I want to encourage all of you to apply. Our industry is in the midst of a digital transformation that lags behind other industries. Our ability to catch up, implement new technology and better serve our clients relies on grassroots efforts that can advocate for the change we as architects not only desire, but need to survive. I see AIA TAP as a means to learn about what our community needs, and work with the Leadership Group to devise strategies to enact change.
In addition, AIA TAP serves as a great forum to expose our community to what's coming next via events such as the Buildings Connection Congress. The ability to learn, unlearn and relearn is critical to understanding all of the new information regarding project delivery. The better informed we are, the better placed we will be to implement what is necessary to improve our process.
