Bravo to the AIA 2030 Working Group for all your efforts, including the latest -- the new guide to creating a Sustainability Action Plan.

This will help firms who want to sign the AIA 2030 Commitment get on the path and start reporting.

Next: In addition to pushing the firms to sign and report, let's get the market to pull, too! Calling clients and owners: Require your architect consultants to be signatories (and reporting).

Okay now that we have a plan Kira, it's time for action.

I need several of you to help out.  There is currently an addendum to ASHRAE 90.1 out for public review that aims to reduce air leakage in new construction, from the current 0.40 CFM/ft2 @ 75 Pa (which is really 0.60 with exceptions) to 0.30 (or 0.45 with exceptions).

Reducing Air Leakage in new construction is a tried and true AND cost effective Energy Conservation Strategy, as you all know.  However, there are still some that believe it is not cost effective.

If you have experience with Whole Building Air Leakage Testing, consider providing a supportive comment to Addendum t - 45-day Public Review - April 2, 2021 – May 17, 2021 - http://osr.ashrae.org/ .

    thanks, Len
