Architecture is not an easy calling and justice architecture is among the most challenging in the profession. We have all recently been reminded of the significance of justice architecture in our communities and its relationship with our humanity in the justice system.

AAJ is collecting personal essays about our change-making work in justice architecture for the next issue of the AIA AAJ Journal. The four most compelling submissions will be chosen for publication.

Submit your essay (1000-1200 words) to aaj@aia.org. Deadline for submission July 14th.

We'd love to hear from many voices from across the country and beyond, from both new and experienced colleagues, with personal anecdotes about a meaningful moment in the work and/or reflections on why the work is important to you.
