Who we are

The Construction Contract Administration Knowledge Community (CCA) has been established to help our members better understand the issues, actions and resultant impact of the decisions required in this often neglected part of Project Delivery. It is our goal to provide clear answers to issues of concern to the Institute’s membership and share case studies and best practices. We further hope to provide guidance and direction in developing guidelines for new and evolving approaches to Project Delivery as well as guidance in the continuing education of our emerging young professionals.

How to connect

- Join to get occasional emails with new content and resources.
- Post on the discussion board to ask questions and share ideas.
- Read a CCA white paper - or contribute your own!
- Attend an upcoming event such as webinars and conferences.
- Provide feedback on what you'd like to see from your CCA community at cca@aia.org.

Blockchain technology can do that -

You may block it or you may build it up, and still, it rises... a lot faster than you think.

"Most people think that blockchains are just about cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, and that they're difficult to understand… You need to understand how blockchains work and what their core limitations are, because they'll be integrated into many everyday online interactions (in the next 5 to 10 years)"… particularly in a Virtual Practice space or project teams collaborating across a geographical zone, time zone, including businesses in parts unknown - where you equally trust and mistrust every person within your project's framework.

In under 20 minutes, I will share how blockchain technology allows transactions to occur without trust, when a real estate developer, virtual practice, VDC team, and construction contracts run on blockchain technology. I'll also be chairing the BIM & Digital Construction Summit on Sept 20th Friday:
