    January 2020 COTE news: bit.ly/COTEnewsJan20

In this, our first batch of COTE news in the new year, we have a powerful and motivating letter from the new AIA president, Jane Frederick, FAIA ... who reminds us, in the words of Rebecca Solnit: "Don't ask what will happen. Be what happens."

This issue also features the first letter our 2020 chair, Julie Hiromoto, and an update from Marsha Maytum on the status of the AIA's Climate Action Plan effort now under way. There are also stories about Measure 3 of the Framework, how one firm is utilizing the Framework in its practice and its projects, and links to great stories we've read lately.

Read, enjoy, and please share if you like it. Also, we'd love to know what you think about what we are covering in COTE news each month. Maybe you are a COTE member and would like to write something? Please connect: kiragould@kiragould.com.
