This article is not, directly, about architecture, but it touches on a number of the topics that affect every business, every client, and every community. It seems to me that one of the fastest and most meaningful ways for architects (and the entire AEC/RE industry) to take up leadership on #climateaction would be to understand the reach and impact of the crisis, so that we can help visualize future pathways built on adaptation. That future, as noted in some of the answers, is not cold and dark. Many aspects could be far better than what tolerate today as normal.
