Have you heard the AIA's declaration? "We are designing a sustainable, healthy, equitable world, together." It's 2020. Are we ready for the practice transformation? Leadership from architects is needed now. Designers and society are beginning to turn from delayed, uncomfortable awareness and blame to collective, productive action and regeneration.

Here are some resources that may be of interest to those interested in the transformation ahead.

Attached, as a PDF, please find The AIA Resolution on Climate Change Response (that passed in June 2019 and was ratified by the AIA Board in September).

There are also a number of valuable resources available via the AIA Sustainability page (https://www.aia.org/resources/77561-sustainability), such as

The Toolkit (https://www.aia.org/resources/6077668-framework-for-design-excellence) based on the AIA Framework for Design Excellence

Where we stand (https://www.aia.org/resources/77541-where-we-stand-climate-action): The AIA statement on climate action

Four things architects can do now (https://www.aia.org/articles/6074306-four-ways-architects-can-fight-climate-cha), including joining the 2030 Commitment

Here's to being part of the constellation of leadership and solutions that we need to move forward and safeguard our habitat and all the life it supports. We can only do this one way: together.
