time for leadership on climate

I'm happy to see Metropolis cover this critical topic (especially given the magazine's role -- which I see as part of Susan S. Szenasy's immense legacy -- in bringing forward Architecture 2030 / Ed Mazria's calls to the industry in the early 2000s).

There are signs of momentum afoot, but now is the time for a very strong move by the profession. It should and could come from the AIA. Whether it does or not, this is the moment for architects (and all their collaborators) to step up and push cities, the US, and the world toward the achievable impact of this sector.

Reversing warming is possible. We know how to do zero net carbon now. Don't tell me why we can't: Look at the youngest generation in your family -- your Gretas -- and explain to them why we are not ready.
