Who we are

The Committee on the Environment (COTE®) is an AIA Knowledge Community working for architects, allied professionals, and the public to achieve climate action and climate justice through design. We believe that design excellence is the foundation of a healthy, sustainable, and equitable future. Our work promotes design strategies that empower all AIA members to realize the best social and environmental outcomes with the clients and the communities they serve.

    AIA New Orleans - RISING: Symposium for Climate and Equity

    We want to invite you to a virtual event we have been curating at AIA New Orleans - RISING: Symposium for Climate and Equity, with weekly themed sessions this November. Our first session, Immediate Action, will be November 4th from 3-5 pm CT. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available through the website. Early Bird pricing for members is just $40 through October 26th, so reserve your tickets today!

     

    RISING is a dynamic four-part event that will explore how architects can be active participants in the building of sustainable, inclusive cities. Speakers include some of the top regional professionals in the fields of equity and sustainability. Attendees who sign up for the full program will also take part in mentorship sessions where they'll be partnered with a local experts. During these sessions, attendees will be guided through each step of the 2030 Commitment. EIGHT HSW CREDITS are available for those who sign up for the full program! Day passes are also available for anyone just wanting to learn more!

     

    Now more than ever, it's important to push for change on a local level. Below you'll find more information on ticketing and scheduling.
