  • 1.  AIA advocacy in action

    Posted 07-23-2020 09:28 AM

The climate action plan released this month by the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis includes many priorities of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) -- from codes to embodied carbon to workforce development.

I salute the AIA Government Advocacy team and the numerous Citizen Architects who are working on this topic -- from the visible testimony (from HOK's Anica Landreneau and HKS, Inc.'s Julie Hiromoto, on behalf of COTE) to the behind-the-scenes, such as COTE's Advocacy Ambassador Michael Davis FAIA LEED and ANGELA BROOKS (and many, many COTE and AIA folks connecting with their elected officials at the local, state, and federal level).
