What things are sustaining you through Pandemic Weirdness?

I am lifted up a bit each week by the conversations that Lindsay Baker and I have with amazing #WomeninSustainability on our #DesigntheFuture podcast

This week, our chat with architect eden brukman is live. Eden is a great inspiration to me in how to carve a path (and spend your time judiciously) to have an impact. In the course of Eden's career, she has touched and shaped a number of critical aspects of the sustainable building industry. Today, she is Senior Green Building Coordinator for San Francisco Department of the Environment ( SF Environment ).

We discussed accountability, working at the city scale, decarbonization, material banks, and about why mentoring matters. Eden touched on how systems thinking is so crucial to solving the big challenges; she cited the classic Donella Meadows essay, Leverage Points in a System (https://lnkd.in/gVbVvNm), as an enduring reference point.

Thank you to Acuity Brands and its Women in Sustainability program, and to Morgan Phelps and Karen Doss Becker.
