  • 1.  US Contribution to CO2

    A couple of questions:

    1. Has anyone shared data on the contribution of the US to atmospheric CO2 vs the rest of the world's contribution?
    2. If the US were to go to zero emissions, can you share what the projected impact would be on the overall CO2 levels?
    3. If the US were to go to zero emissions, can you share what the projected impact would be on global temperature trends?
    4. I realize that the costs of potential impacts of change could be very significant, but is there an estimated cost for taking the US to net zero emissions?
    5. Is there data on what impact on CO2 levels other measures might have – such as sequestration, forestation, changes in diet, or other creative measures?

Know there is a lot of knowledge represented in this community, so you all may have some good answers to these questions and/or know where to point to answers...

    Thanks!

This caught my attention. It looks like the people in non-OECD countries desire the comforts of air conditioning, automobiles and abundant lighting as much as the people in OECD countries. Hopefully our (OECD country architects) efforts at providing practical models of durable, sustainable construction will be taken seriously.  A graph derived from the federal Energy Information Administration comparing OECD countries to Non-OECD countries
