Where do we wish to live in the post COVID 19 world?
Can megalopolis keep the population healthy?
Is it lower density or decentralization that is to be discussed?

Progress, evolution of our species is marked by our congregating in community. The community takes a variety of shapes determined by our intellectual development, environment, technology and, of course, much more. One thing that appears constant is the growth of the physical community: village, town, city.

As we work to preserve the larger community planet earth, there is the steady growth of evidence a strategy is to enhance the city such that it become more integrated with the natural ecosystems of the planet. Cities are continually becoming the concentration of a larger percentage of earth's population. This is a challenge and opportunity. Altering the planning paradigms we've employed over the centuries is in order. Sparks of different ways to consider planning and building urban environments are found around the planet in varied ways at a variety of scales. The metropolis appears to be providing us with better opportunities for reduction of 'carbon footprint' through efficient use of energy, communication. living, working.

COV ID-19 can be the stimulus for driving policy for achieving sustainability, resilience and progress towards the aspirations of 2030 and 2050. This global disaster emphasizes that we really are running out of time.
