It was so disheartening to read any amount of equivocation by architects on the climate crisis, so I had to post a thank you for those that stepped up and made it clear-
    The sky IS falling-
and the time for half measures is well passed us, and the moral imperative is not just as professionals in a business that contributes the bulk of harmful emissions into our fragile ecosystem, but also simply as citizens of the world we all share, all equally responsible, to leave it to our children anything less than the miraculous, finite paradise we were fortunate enough to inherit.

So a heartfelt thank you to my colleagues willing to speak out against the coordinated obfuscation of things that, sadly, can be seen and felt right now.

Well said Julian!  And I also offer that every AIA chapter should be on board promoting a dialogue, publishing information, and suggesting actions that their members and the general public can be taking.  And each chapter can frame the issue in a variety of ways: a moral imperative; a path toward energy independence; a life-cycle cost savings; resilience planning.  There is no shortage of frameworks from which to approach climate action.
