On our #WomeninSustainability #DesigntheFuture podcast Lindsay Baker and I talk with architect Liz York on design as a matter of health. Liz is senior advisor for buildings and facilities strategy and innovation at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She talks about how buildings impact people -- their lives, health, and mental health.

Liz created an AIA best practice paper, with Joyce S. Lee, about lactation rooms that is still circulated widely today: https://www.aia.org/best-practices/17116-recommendations-for-designing-lactationwelln.

RIght now, Liz is on a special assignment regarding COVID-19. Get the scoop from CDC on what you should know about vaccination planning and more; the next CDC webinar is next week: https://www.zoomgov.com/webinar/register/WN_rEHj40sQQZe8ZMl5tTzrkg?ACSTrackingID=USCDC_2082-DM37962&ACSTrackingLabel=Vaccination%20Planning%3A%20What%20You%20Should%20Know&deliveryName=USCDC_2082-DM37962.
