The Committee on Design (COD) was founded to promote design excellence among members of the AIA, the broader design community, and the public at large, both nationally and internationally.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the AIA Committee on Design leadership voted to postpone the domestic and international conferences to 2021. The new dates for the conferences are Denver, May 13 to 16, and Singapore, October 9 to 22.
You know the urgency. Now do something about it!
Am proud to announce that AIA Los Angeles and aecKnowledge just released the 4-part series that was filmed live at this year's 2020 Two Degrees Symposium.
In this 4-part series, 9 keynote presenters address climate action from the perspective of global scale, urban scale and building scale and examine how LA's newly adopted Green New Deal is lowering carbon emissions, reducing economic inequality and ushering in a new era of innovation.
As advocates of great design with sustainable goals, course takers will gain valuable insights into how we can improve our profession, elevate the built environment and mitigate climate change.

(Disclosure: I am the Founder of aecKnowledge. A portion of the proceeds for the online courses benefit AIA Los Angeles and their ongoing programming initiaitives.)
