Modular System "EL ARCA"
The Designer of the Modular System EL ARCA, is the Cuban-American Architect, Julian Argilagos.
Mr. Argilagos designed his first Modular proposal for cultural space in 1985. It was a Ballet dance theatre, concert hall, exhibitions, in addition to his modular space design that was the first hanging structure of a steel and canvas roof in Cuba. This first project was easy to build for its mobility and economy.
However, the most emblematic work of the architect was the Museum Cristobal Balenciaga, a unique museum designed for fashion in the history of new construction architecture. This museum was dedicated to one of the most remarkable fashion designers Cristobal Balenciaga, father of International Fashion.
The most peculiar aspect of the museum is its structure, which is capable of hanging a three-story building. To preserve the natural environment of the park where it is located, the design included an interior garden connected to the exterior area, the modulation of the interior space of the exhibition halls adds an advantage to the building converting it into a multipurpose space.
The Ark is a new proposal from Mr. Argilagos. The main purpose of this project is TO EXPAND the possibility of saving LIVES in the face of the increase of NATURAL CATASTROPHES, CLIMATIC CHANGES, AND PANDEMICS.
There is no building in any State of the Union capable of being expressly prepared for this purpose.
We need to increase the capacity of beds from 2 bed/10000 per habitats, the USA is in the 72nd place in the world in regard to this matter.
These two proposals at the basic project level, "Urgent Care Buildings" and "Multipurpose Building", are DONATED to the most challenging states that are facing these moments of pandemic and climate change.
