Who we are

The Committee on Architecture for Education (CAE) is a Knowledge Community of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). We are a large and active group of over 10,000 architects and allied professionals concerned with the quality and design of all types of educational, cultural, and recreational facilities that promote lifelong learning in safe, welcoming and equitable environments. The CAE’s mission is to foster innovative and collaborative design of educational facilities and to heighten public awareness on the importance of learning environments.

    Call for Proposals – CAE K-12 Sub-committee Monthly Presentations 

    The AIA CAE K-12 sub-committee is now accepting proposals for our monthly call. Learning environments are complex and evolving; gathering a broad range of perspectives from the education industry helps foster understanding and implementation of new ideas. 

    Join us as we engage one another and share ideas that help make us better educators, designers and leaders. These calls will occur starting in May 2018 through June 2019. To get on the e-mail update list for these calls please send your contact info to Lisa Johnson at  ljohnson@dlrgroup.com or Olivia Graf Doyle at ografdoyle@architecture4e.com.
