    Dear AIA Members,

This is Mahdi Jafari, President and Principal Architect of ARC Group Company based in Kabul, Afghanistan. last year I joined this association when I worked as an architect for the Office of Sr. Advisor to the President in Transportation Affairs at Presidential Palace Arg.

Last year, I registered for A'19 international conference for visiting convention center to meat hight profile architects and also expand my business globally. I was disappointed when the US Embassy's Visa officer in Kabul rejected my application for a Business visa. I think the American Institute of Architects must support individuals who wish to respond to AIA calls, otherwise, there would not be a new participant anymore.

In fact, I hoped to expand my vision to the architecture universe by participating in active communities and discussion forums that international architects were involved in. However, it was helpful when I called for assistance in the process of the design and planning of Public Transport infrastructure plans. But as a large institute, it would be great if every member take a part in discussion forums and I believe they will if the content motivates them.

    Best Regards,

    M
