Who we are

The Academy page supports AIA's efforts to connect education and practice. AIA works with faculty, staff and students; practitioners; and collateral organizations to support excellence in education and research, expand the pathway to the profession, and prepare future architects. AIA regularly pools resources with AIAS, ACSA, NCARB, NAAB, and others to provide scholarships, educational programming, research, resources, and more.

Please share this 2019 Intersections Symposium Call for Abstracts with your contacts, firms and schools. It is open to all researchers and all submissions will be blind, peer-reviewed. The submission link is live on the ACSA website and the DEADLINE to submit an abstract is Sept. 26, 2018. The theme is Bottom-Up Social Change:  Materials, Buildings, Community, A'19, June 6-8, 2019, Las Vegas, Nevada.  Our co-chairs are Elizabeth Golden, AIA, University of Washington and Joshua Vermillion, University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This topic should appeal widely with the opportunity to address urban and rural planning, materials and fabrication, communities, and much more. We had a great turnout at the 2018 Intersections Symposium with almost 500 attendees, so we are hoping for even more in Las Vegas! Submit and share your research!
