Who we are

The Academy page supports AIA's efforts to connect education and practice. AIA works with faculty, staff and students; practitioners; and collateral organizations to support excellence in education and research, expand the pathway to the profession, and prepare future architects. AIA regularly pools resources with AIAS, ACSA, NCARB, NAAB, and others to provide scholarships, educational programming, research, resources, and more.

    Posted 05-31-2019 10:27 AM

Greetings on this last day of May 2019!

May flew by and many of you in academia are probably finished or wrapping up the semester and planning your summer work and adventures. Here at the AIA, we are all about A'19, aka, AIA Conference on Architecture in Las Vegas next week. We know it will be hot, but not inside at the sessions, so I have provided a list below of some of the research-focused sessions. If you aren't attending – take a look anyway at these sessions and join us next year in Los Angeles. These sessions continue to grow each year! I will highlight Intersections Symposium – 3 sessions on Saturday, curated by our AIA/ACSA co-chairs, Elizabeth Golden, AIA, UW and Josh Vermillion, ACSA, UNLV.  https://conferenceonarchitecture.com/schedule/

And never before has the work of young architects informed so much the work of the established ones...
